Tour Des Canadiens! – Montreal Monday’s

The Bell Centre is going to have a brand new neighbour! Say goodbye too centennial plaza and say hello to a brand new building. A new condo development has been unveiled by the Montreal Canadiens and its partners which is set to be built at the corner of rue de la Montagne and Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montreal, and fittingly named the Tour des Canadiens. The habs have said that “A total of 534 units will be available for purchase, including five penthouses that will occupy the top floors of the building. Thirty-three floors will be dedicated to other condos. Below the living space, a state-of-the-art sports bar will also welcome residents and visitors to the lobby.” Now I know what some of you are thinking.. what about those 100$ bricks I paid for that we’re layer down back in 2009? Well, apparently, “Fans who purchased bricks for the Centennial Plaza where the new condo development will be built need not worry. Brick by brick, the Plaza will be carefully removed during construction before being reintegrated into the project after completion.” I am extremely excited to see the turn out of this project!

Le Match au Serge – Montreal Monday’s

In Montreal, hockey is part of our blood, you either eat, breathe and sleep it, and if you don’t, you can at least have an idea what people are talking about when they say the word Habs. (For those who don’t know, Habs is short for Habitants, a nickname given to the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens many many years ago!)

However, one thing you should know about, is a local bar called Chez Serge. It is the ultimate place to watch a hockey game in Montreal! These guys just get it! Plasma TV’s and screen projectors everywhere, a live DJ to keep your energy alive between each whistle (as if your at the game) and a mechanical riding bull! Not to mention their incredibly good looking and interactive staff that will keep you entertained during intermission with Bar dances in jean shorts and leather vests. To top it all off, you have got to try their famous Orgy drinks! Thats right a sand pale filled with alcohol and straws for you and your friends to share! The atmosphere is absolutely packed and makes for the best place in the city to watch a hockey game! Take my word for it and check it out!

5301 St. Laurent, corner of Maguire, (Laurier Metro)

Call now to make a reservation because you will likely need it! THIS PLACE GETS PACKED AND WILD!

Passe La Puck – Montreal Mondays

Passe La Puck’s mission is to provide voluntary help and support for children in need. PLP also gives financial support and volunteer organizations that help young people. One of the main goals is to educate young people about the importance of playing safely in hockey and sports in general and have a proactive approach in trying to keep young people safe as anywhere else on the ice.  They want to make sure that we help raise the importance of youth sports, to move and how sports can have a beneficial impact in any kid’s life and in their community.

To promote this movement, several well known Montrealer’s got together to create an awesome music video and song, having remade Chris Brown’s feel good upbeat “Yeah 3x”. You may recognize some faces such as: Jacynthe, Jessy Gauthier, Georges Laraque, Mary-Helen Dastou, Jean-Maxime Sanssouci, Lukay, several members of the 8-Count dance complex and many others!

@BizNasty2point0 – Follow Fridays

I love to laugh when I read my twitter news feed. This week’s feature is the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes tough guy Paul Bissonnette a.k.a. Biz Nasty

Just to begin, here’s his twitter bio:

Play in the NHL for the Phoenix Coyotes. Well sort of. Once played in the ECHL for the Wheeling Nailers, seriously, that was the name. Living the dream.

He’s a wild party animal who loves to have a good time, not afraid to speak his mind, but yet, assures a great performance on the ice. Just gotta love a guy like that! I mean, he’s got the guts to tweet after the game commenting about the hottie that was sitting near the penalty box while he was playing. Just a good laugh!
