I’ve had the chance to see these guys a couple of times now and I have to say I am nothing but impressed! @DzekoandTorres are a producer duo from Toronto who are hitting the DJ/EDM club scene by storm! Having remixed a couple of very popular tracks for some big name artists, their name and skill behind the wheels of steel are putting them on the right track for success! Avicii is already well known as one of the kings of EDM but the Swedish DJ and production superstar is now trying out some new endeavours. After many fashion labels made their co-branding bids, Avicii finally settled on modelling for Ralph Lauren’s Denim & Supply’s Fall 2012 Campaign. Known for his plaid or checkered shirts and backwards ball cap or beanie, Avicii seems to be quite the fit for the new fall collection and is now the official face of Ralph Lauren. I am totally digging the campaign and the line and will for sure be making some purchases!

You we’re likely introduced to him on the Montreal club scene or on my blog back in June when I had a chance to sit down with him in his studio to talk about all his recent success! Well Richard, is off doing it big now with his residency at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas and more! She might be 53 years old but she’s still got it! She’s got the sex appeal, the character and the girl can sing! Madonna is headed to the Bell Centre on August 30th with opening act, special guest DJ, Martin Solveig. The MDNA Tour is Madonna’s ninth concert tour promoting her twelfth studio album! It all kicked off a few months back beginning in Tel Aviv, Israel, went across Asia, Europe and is now headed to the Americas with a stop here in Montreal. Expect a kick ass show with amazing production and if we are all lucky, we may even catch a nipple slip like Budapest!
It is exciting to see that a fellow Montrealer has made an amazing impact on the music scene! @atrak‘s journey began early when he won the DMC DJ Champion at the age of just 15 years old! He then went on to become the first DJ to win five World Championships shaping his route to becoming one of the world’s most successful producers and turntablists! His recent remixes and releases are some of my favourite tracks to play while I spin as I know the vibe of his tracks just gets into the veins and bones of the people listening! More so, his twitter account makes it even more fun to keep up with everything that goes on in his career. Expect awesome tour pictures, show updates and a head’s up on music releases. Hailing from the UK and raised in Vancouver, he moved to Montreal at the age 18 to study music performance at the prestigious McGill University to help him further pursue his career in music. Since then he has achieved so much while living in Montreal. While getting to DJ the hottest clubs in city, he put his producing skills to work to add to everything he was learning in school. A few years later, a dream come true! His records and music caught the eyes and ears of world famous DJ Paul Oakenfold and his record label. In early 2011, Beynon signed a contract with Perfecto Records which led to a New Years Eve performance in Las Vegas to bring on 2012. His skills impressed the city of Las Vegas so much that shortly after that, he was given residency at the Hard Rock Hotel. He has now joined Paul Oakenfold on a tour and has a new record EP coming out on June 25th via Beatport with songs called “Keep Me Alive” and “Chuckie Cheese.”

It’s official! World famous DJ and producer, Tiesto, is coming to Montreal for Grand Prix Weekend this June! Announced early last week, the electronic music sensation will be performing at a brand new Montreal live music venue called New City Gas on Thursday June 7th. Still under renovation, the 3000 person hall located at 172 Dalhousie, smack in the middle of downtown Montreal is expected to sell out for the show. So other than those who have got themselves weekend passes to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Tiesto will be the hottest ticket in the city! The show will also featuring opening acts from Sultan Ned Sheppard and Etienne Ozborne so you it will not be a show to miss!
